So, I did enjoy the idea that a piece of writing is like an untamed wild animal. It's true that as soon as I stop working on a piece, I absolutely hate going back to revise it, even when I know there are obvious problems in it. There's always this thought in my mind that the work is dead, finished, over, laid to rest, completed, and digging it up again to change what is already there feels wrong - like I'm cutting out some important part of its character.
As for the dream sequence; I didn't get it.
Overall it's getting a lot easier to read, I'm not sure if it's me getting used to her style or if her metaphors have become less abstruse. I like that word. Abstruse.
